Catherine Nguyen serves as an Advisor to the Board of Directors of The Greater Philadelphia Vietnamese Community. She is an attorney at the law firm of Cohen Seglias Pallas Greenhall and Furman, P.C., in Philadelphia. Catherine has lived in Philadelphia the last 15 years and previously lived in Houston and Seattle.  Catherine is an alumna of West Chester East High School, Penn State University, and Temple Law School.

Catherine learned to serve her community from a young age, with her father as her role model. Her devotion to the Vietnamese community is inspired by the perseverance of her family members and the challenges they faced in order to establish and enrich their lives in the United States.

As a lawyer, her practice is focused on business law matters, especially commercial construction. When Catherine is not working or spending time with her husband and daughter, Catherine serves as the Chair of the Board of VietLEAD, a grassroots organization that provides a variety of services to the local Vietnamese community. She is also an Officer and Board Member of the Asian Pacific American Bar Association (APABA)-PA, an organization that educates its members about issues critical to Asian Pacific Americans and advances the interests of the local Asian American community.

Catherine believes that true growth occurs from within families and within communities. She supports strategies that provide opportunities, education and options to Vietnamese youth, families, and the elderly.
